Car Detailing Review

My vast experience on car cleaning products

How to fix broken paint….

Had a small scuff at the bottom left of my rear bumper.  It was the white ’scraped’ look.  Sadly, the scrap marks were deep so the SSR2.5 Poorboy polish didn’t work (sometimes this takes out scuffs).

So, first of all..clean the ‘wound’.  Then give it a quick polish with SSR2.5 polish anyway, just to remove small scuffs.

Now get some touch up paint - you can order the exact colour for your car on ebay.

Try to get it in the scuffs themselves and wipe off carefully excess.  The idea is to get the paint in the grooves/scuffs and not on the paintwork.  A little extra on the paintwork is OK as you can hopefully buff that down later.

Try to do 2-3 touch ups.  Matchsticks work very well for application.

A fine smooth hand polishing with SSR1 should produce an OK result.  It will never be perfect.

There is also an alternative method where you apply excess paint, let it dry and then rub down with a plastic card and solution.  This is available on ebay also.
